Step 2. Unzip the RAR file using WinRAR
Open WinRAR and Right click on the archive and select ‘Open’.
Step 3. Remove password from the RAR archive and extract its contents.
a. Click Open button to unzip the RAR archive to create a new folder in the current folder.
b. Rename the folder using any name you want.
c. Click ‘Yes’ and select this option to extract all contents of the RAR archive.
Step 4. Remove the password from the RAR archive.
a. Move the folder to the desired location.

Beware, unzipping a RAR archive with. any file is a bad idea as it will replace all its contents.

There are two main reasons to remove the password. Either to help recover a lost password on a RAR archive which you have forgotten, or the password is otherwise considered unimportant. Or as a security technique for a password that you don’t want to publicize.
If the archive is encrypted, however, it won’t be possible to remove the password. And unfortunately, a non-encrypted RAR archive is really a very bad idea. Much bad software, such as « gain root » programs, will decode an unencrypted RAR archive.

In short, there’s no easy way to remove a password for an RAR archive which is encrypted. The only way is to break the encryption. This generally requires the use of a stronger password, or at least some other attack on the encryption.
That being said, if you can use a program like WinRAR’s Password Unlocker, which is intended for unencrypted archives, you can use its built-in password recovery feature to recover passwords.

If the RAR archive’s password is important to you, and you’re willing to use some other program, you could use TrueCrypt’s free volume recovery utility. It might also be possible to recover the password using a VeraCrypt or any other secret recovery passphrase program.

Berlin — A group of neuroscientists say they’ve uncovered a key function of the brain’s visual system that could explain how humans distinguish and focus on objects in the world.

The scientists studied a human brain region known as V4 in laboratory rats, and found the region plays a specific role in regulating the animal’s ability to focus on a particular part of an object’s visual field.

Previous research suggests that in the human brain, the function that V4 performs is analogous to what V1, the first visual area, does in the brains of other animals.

The discovery could open the door to developing new drug treatments for conditions like autism and visual impairments such as myopia, an eye disease characterized by a sharp, blurry, or distorted view of the world.

Visual cortex

The visual cortex (or the « visual » cortex), the brain region behind the eyes responsible for processing visual stimuli, is organized in layers. These layers are filled with a specific kind of neuron, called a « simple » neuron, that fires when it receives a signal from the retina of the eye.

Some of these neurons project to other parts of the cortex, such as the V1, the primary visual area of the brain.

The discovery that V4 has a role in regulating the brain’s ability to focus on a particular part of an object’s visual field made it easier to discover why this brain region (and V1) is so important, the scientists said.
