A very old issue of Astronomy Magazine, No. 35, clearly shows the Precession of the Ecliptic. It was written by Adolf Lenzen (a pseudonym for Adolf Carl von Marschall von Bieberstein), printed in Braunschweig, Germany in 1915. It is a long paper and shows many interesting tables (including an excellent table of the 1484 eclipses of Saturn by Uranus).
The tables are in graphical form and give a compelling view of the reality of the Precession of the Ecliptic, and its ecliptic rate of 3.23″.
Sadly, the article was never translated into English and is now out of print.

The Earth moves on its orbit around the sun. The simulation illustrates how, at regular intervals, the Earth’s longitude of perihelion — the point on the orbit from which Sun is located—moves around on a circle with the Sun as its center. This is exactly the same motion in which the sun rotates around the ecliptic plane. So, when the Earth travels around the sun, the Earth itself is in motion through the celestial sphere; it rotates and moves, but is always in the same direction, in the same sense.
The simulation shows the longitude of perihelion, the Sun, the Celestial Sphere, and the Earth. The simulation is driven by the current date, the ecliptic plane tilt, and the Earth’s speed of rotation. The tilt of the ecliptic plane and the Earth’s rotation speeds can be adjusted.
The rotation of the Earth in space around its axis is portrayed in the bottom window. A continuous animation shows the rotation of the Earth around its axis. To preview it, either click on the ‘pause’ button or use the arrows on either side of the lower window.
The observer on the Earth’s surface may choose any place on the Earth’s surface as its point of reference, and the user is treated to an animation of the changing position of the sun relative to that point.

Equinox Precession Model shows an Earth’s orbit around the Sun and the precession of the Earth’s rotational axis, in degrees per century. The period of rotation of Earth about its own axis is approximately 25,800 years and the period of precession of Earth’s axis in the ecliptic plane is approximately 26,000 years. The equinoxes are the points in the heavens, where the Sun’s rising and setting points on the celestial sphere are equidistant from the celestial equator (line drawn through both poles of the Celestial Sphere).The current equinox is the autumnal equinox.
The starry background on which the Earth’s orbit is drawn is a 300 star model of the same sky as the one seen from the earth. The figure shows the stars near the celestial equator, where the Earth’s axis is inclined to the plane of the ecliptic. The Sun appears as an orb of light near the Earth. The Sun’s shadow (the darker band near the Earth) moves around the Earth as the Earth’s axis precesses. Adjustable parameters include:
• How far the Earth orbits.
• The period of time the simulation runs for.
• Distance to the ecliptic (the plane containing Earth’s orbit and Sun’s orbit).
